This training is intended for committee leaders and members. Whether you’re preparing to join a committee for the upcoming term, continuing as a current committee member, or considering committee service, this training will provide you with information about the committee process. We will discuss the importance of committees at ASPS/PSF, committee roles and responsibilities, and commitment expectations. We provide you with all the important resources a committee member would need and tips for leaders on running a successful meeting.

When you have completed this course you should be able to:

• Recall the importance of committees within the ASPS/PSF organization and the role you play in your committee as a new/returning committee member or leader.
• Define committee service expectations and responsibilities as a committee member and the additional responsibilities of the committee chair in running successful committee meetings.
• Identify important resources needed as a committee member and leader.
